Coordinator of legal services for the EU4Moldova ‘Sustainable Food Systems – Production’ Project

SUBJECT-MATTER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the public contract is expert assistance and consultations in the implementation of delegated cooperation project in Moldova titled "EU4Moldova Sustainable Food Systems – Production". The expert assistance and consultations will include these activities: Legal advisory: Providing expert legal advice and recommendations on the legislative needs of the agricultural sector, with a focus on organic farming and the protection of intellectual property rights (IP system). Preparation of legislative proposals: Drafting and reviewing proposals for laws, regulations, and other legal documents related to organic farming and the IP system. Legislative harmonisation: Ensuring that legislative proposals are aligned with European Union standards and international frameworks, particularly in the areas of organic farming and the IP system. Participation in stakeholder consultations: Engaging in consultations with stakeholders (farmers, government institutions, non-governmental organisations, certification bodies, and the private sector) and incorporating their feedback into legal proposals, in line with the project document. Training and capacity building: Delivering legal training for public officials, representatives of agricultural organisations, and other stakeholders on new or revised agricultural laws and regulations, in line with the project document. Responsibility for achieving objectives: Responsibility for achieving the defined project objectives and indicators within activities 3.1.3 and 3.2.1, in cooperation with the project team. Support to other project activities: Active participation in other project activities as required and provision of support for their successful implementation. Design of legal framework and guidelines: Developing a draft legal framework and guidelines for the use of the registry by farmers, including cooperation with IT experts in the development of the information system. Cooperation with Czech experts: Ensuring effective cooperation with Czech experts.
